Origin Coffee Lab
Origin Coffee Lab (OCL) is a direct-trade exporter from Cajamarca, northern Peru. Since 2016, OCL has paid farmers fair, quality-based premiums—10% above market on average, and up to 50% for microlots—always paid upfront. Coffee quality is seen as inseparable from farmers’ quality of life. To support this, OCL has organized 220 growers into 17 farmer-led committees focused on training, finance, market access, and data sharing.
